OD Compass is an optometry blog and online continuing education resource. Our goal is to help transition new graduate optometrists from entry-level to advanced competence, particularly those who have not completed a residency.


Once you become an optometrist, the learning never stops. Our courses are specifically structured for newer optometrists in their first 3 years of practice. Our self-study courses provide a solid foundation of clinical entities that are realistic for most primary eye care providers to encounter.

*2011 graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry.

*Residency-trained (OMNI Eye Services).

*Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (2014).

*Former NBEO remote examiner, test item author, and Council member (2019).
